Anne Milligan, 2016.  This is an oil painting I completed in December of 2016. The original inspiration is/was a string quartet I saw at one of the art festivals where I was showing my work, in 2015. I narrowed the four musicians down to one, mainly because I found her concentration to be really striking and I wanted to capture that. I think this painting would show best hanging on a burnt orange type of wood or wall color. The dimensions are 14" x 18" (not including the frame).
